Case Study 10

Case: A 14 yr/F, presented with dry flaky papular rash over her lower cheek either sides, jawline as well as chin area since one month, along with itching. The history taking revealed the switching of face mask to linen material, a month ago post which the rash and itch started allegedly. Thorough examination and history detailing led to diagnosis of Allergic rash due to face mask.
Treatment: Patient is advised oral as well as topical medication for 2 weeks, accompanied with emollients, calming moisturizer with immediate discontinuation of current mask and to replace with cotton or single use mask.
