Photo Facial
What is a Photo Facial?
A Photo Facial is a non-invasive skin treatment that uses light-based technology to improve skin tone and texture and reduce imperfections such as age spots, sun damage, wrinkles, and acne scars. The procedure involves the use of different light-emitting devices, such as lasers, to heat the epidermis and stimulate collagen production while reducing pigmentation.
There are two types of Photo Facials: Intense-Pulsed Light (IPL) and Light-Emitting Diode (LED).
IPL Photo Facial emits broad-spectrum light and is suitable for deeper penetration to treat wrinkles, age spots, spider veins, and stretch marks.
On the other hand, LED Photo Facial uses narrow-spectrum, low-level light to increase collagen production, kill acne bacteria, and gently rejuvenate the skin.
It’s important to know your skin type before undergoing this treatment, as people with naturally darker skin tones may not be suitable for certain Photo Facial treatments.
